Houston Downtown Aquarium

During the weeks of June 14th and June 21st Derrick was in Dallas for training while Zach and I hung out here in Houston. Those were probably 2 of the most exhausting weeks I've ever had since my prego symptoms were in full swing and had no breaks in the evenings. Thankfully Jamon and Jean (brother and sister-in-law) took pity on Zach and me and had us over for dinner a couple times. They also helped me take Zach swimming one night. We love living near them.

Derrick came home for the weekend between training weeks and we took Zach to the Houston Downtown Aquarium. It was one of the last times we could take advantage of Zach being under 2. Zach loved it and ran around the whole time either saying "fish fish" or laughing like crazy.

Other highlights:

A family picture. Zach and I are wet from a splash pad thing outside.

Getting up close with the fish

Going deep sea diving

Petting sting rays with their stings removed. Zach wasn't very gentle.

Not pictured since the video upload isn't working:

Random but cool white tiger exhibit where one of the tigers paced up and down right in front of the glass the whole time.

First ride on a carousel. Zach took holding on to the bar very seriously. It was funny to see him so focused the whole time.

Zach was kind enough to help me model my (then) 35 1/2 week prego belly while we were waiting for the train ride to go see the sharks.

Zach and I are both so glad that Derrick's done with training. We love having him around!

I'm a little concerned that i look more pregnant than you... you look great and have that glow they always talk about.

Barbacoa recipe? Yes please!!!

when you have time, that is! Good luck with your big transition :) I'm excited to see what adventures are headed your way.

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY Zach!!!

I agree with ALI, WHOA good looking prego lady! How do you do that! I was certainly not that fortunate, and at one time I was complimented by saying I looked like you.

Seriously, I am impressed!
