Best Friends

I love watching Zach and Caleb interact. Zach loves doing tummy time with Caleb and rushing to join Caleb in the crib when Caleb wakes up from naps. Caleb is fascinated by Zach and stares at him all the time. I'm excited for when they can run around and wrestle.

80s Mullets in Dallas (It's the new pink)

In the middle of October Derrick found a new use for his fake beard/pirate wig...an '80s mullet! Pariveda Solutions (Derrick's work) had a company retreat at the W hotel in Dallas, so we flew Jen's mom down to spoil the boys while we were off at events. There we a bunch of meetings and socializing, as well as an '80s-themed party at the House of Blues.

Buffalo

We have this great free park nearby with a whole row of animals in addition to playground and walking trails. The animals available for viewing are pretty random: buffalo, deer, pigs, common rhea (kind of like emu), goats, owls, peacocks, other tropical birds, etc. Zach's favorite are the buffalo.

Apparently if a buffalo is chewing stuff it found on the ground, that means that dead leaves qualify as food. You can tell from the facial expression that Zach won't be eating too many more dead leaves in the future.

Caleb was just happy to be along. It's still pretty weird to me that my kids can run around outside in shorts and bare feet during November and December.
