Fireman Costume

For Halloween this year we have two costumes for Zach (I couldn't decide between the two ideas). One of my cousins gave us a baby fireman costume at a baby shower. The only thing missing was a hat and since I couldn't figure out where to find one Zach's size I decided to make one. Using pipe cleaners, felt, and piece of gold paper, and a glue gun. The cost came to a grand total of $0.40. Here's the result:

The finished product

Zach and Derrick on our way to a trick-or-treat thing in the Tanner building. (don't mind the cell phone pic)

I find it really interesting that we both ended up using felt and pipe cleaners to make our babies' costumes... Great minds, you know! :)

There was a toddler at our ward Halloween party in a fireman suit just like Zach. He had a hat and hose. I was thinking too bad you didn't have a hat to go with it. . . and low and behold you made an adorable one. I remember Meesa's first witch costume I didn't have any black paper to make a hat so I used a marker to color a white piece of paper to make the hat. Lots of effort, but cheap! Great Job! Wow, I'm very impressed with that hat. I would never have thought to use pipe cleaners as a frame. Great idea and he looks so cute.
